Sri Lanka, the UK, and now Australia.
My journey took me from Sri Lanka to the UK, and now to Australia. Along the way, I built a career in finance, worked with clients around the world, started my own business, and learned something important: your skills can become real income.
My career started at KPMG, where I learned the basics of accounting, then Moody’s, where I worked in investment research. In the UK, I worked with Fitch Ratings and Valtech, helping startups, small and medium companies, and corporates with financial modelling and data analytics.
On the side, I also started freelancing — starting from zero, with no clients or reviews. That experience changed how I saw my own skills, and I’m now a Top Rated freelancer on Upwork.
I once read about an idea called social entrepreneurship: building something that genuinely helps people, while also earning a sustainable income. That idea stuck with me, and I chose to build MonetizeIQ exactly that way.
